When?: Third weekend of September - Friday Sept. 24 - Sunday Sept. 26

Here is a video of last years final ceremonies at the CCPS 2009 & AGM event at Madawaska Kanu School, near Barry's Bay, Ontario. Just to get you primed and excited for another great event. Also check out the photo gallery on Flickr(thanks to Rick W. and David J. for the photos)

Kayak Newfoundland Labrador (KNL) Retreat  May 2010

A great retreat was reported with special guests Brenna Kelly (whitewater kayak) from Ottawa, Greg Stamer (Greenland style) from Florida and Chris Lockyer (sea kayak) from Nova Scotia.  Next years 2011 event will be a combination of the KNL Retreat along with Paddle Canada's Atlantic Paddling Symposium. The have a venue (Terra Nova National Park, NFLD) all picked out with a access to great whitewater, ocean and inland paddling; all within a short drive. Happy event planning to KNL and the Atlantic Paddling Symposium Committee.  See you there.

Thanks too for the nice Certificate of Appreciation and thanks for helping promote your event.

Paddling Instructor Website Banner

#We are happy to announce a new partnership with PaddlingInstructor.com! Paddlinginstructor.com is a wonderful resource site for professional paddling instructors in Canada. In it's pages you'll find a community where instructors can share teaching resources with each other (over 200 documents to date!). You are encouraged to submit your own resources in "Teaching Resources" section so other people can benefit from your knowledge. There are lots of other features like
  • an 'Instructor Talk' forum,
  • paddling news & press releases from around the world,
  • videos, pictures,
  • event listings & calendar (you can submit your paddling event too!).
Canoe Instructors Wanted! It's present users are mainly sea and river kayak instructors. We hope that can change that now with this new partnership and encourage canoe instructors to participate in sharing of 'Teaching Resources' and discussions with 'Online Forums'.

Registration is free so join today! Click on Login (top right of page and register as a new member!)

A contract has been signed between Paddle Canada and with this website for a no-cost exchange of services between the two organizations. Their banner logo is now on our website.

Why doesn't Paddle Canada have its own Instructor Resource Site? One of our visions is to develop our own site someday, however until we have the budget and the resources to do so, this partnership will hopefully serve that purpose for now.
